Interactive report on inclusion and participation

The current report "Shaping inclusion and participation" from the district office takes a new approach. In addition to the printed version, there is an interactive document that acts as a digital guide and combines specialist information with directly stored maps.

Three individuals stand together inside an office space. Each is holding documents. The person on the left is wearing a suit, the woman in the middle is dressed in a blue top with a gray shawl, and the man on the right is in a suit. There is greenery in the background.

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier (left) and Head of Social Affairs Heiner Pfrommer receive the report "Shaping inclusion and participation" from social planner Christiane Keuter.

"Participation and inclusion of people with disabilities have fortunately arrived as topics in the middle of society." With these words, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier presented the 80-page report to the district council's social committee. The members of the district council praised the guide as a "real masterpiece". The report, which was compiled by the Department of Social Affairs, Youth and Family with the involvement of a wide range of stakeholders and the "Inclusive District of Ludwigsburg Advisory Board", provides answers to key questions in important areas of life for those affected and their families as well as for politicians and the specialist public. In some areas, the district is already well positioned. Heiner Pfrommer, Head of Social Affairs, referred in particular to the "Inclusive Daycare Center" concept. Christiane Keuter, social planner at the district, explained how the course can be set for more inclusion. This includes more flexible support services as well as an open attitude towards people with disabilities.

Inclusion in childhood focuses on issues of care and education. Self-determined forms of housing and work are key issues for young adults, while the chapter on "Growing older with a disability" opens up a problem area that has received little attention to date. "Participation in social, cultural and digitalized life" is an area of life that is relevant for all population groups. Special chapters deal with the situation of "Living with a mental illness" and "Living with a mental and/or physical disability".

For the first time, the specialist information has been combined with interactive maps in the participation report. This provides a clear overview of the services available in the district of Ludwigsburg with all contact details and further information. "This provides the basis for a lively information platform and invites people to use it together," says District Administrator Allgaier.
