Since 1972, the Braun organic farm has been operating according to the rules of the Bioland association. When the farm was handed over to the next generation in 1988, vegetable crates for consumers were introduced as a new marketing channel. This shifted the focus of the farm to vegetable growing and the first greenhouses, which are also visited during the tour, were built.
After the tour, a seasonal organic snack is offered and there is the opportunity to store in the farm store.

Background to the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic model region
The organic model region Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart is made up of the district of Ludwigsburg and the state capital Stuttgart and is funded by the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection. The aims of the organic model region are to promote the expansion of regional organic agriculture, networking within the (organic) value chain and strengthening the dialog between agriculture and consumers.
Figures on organic farming in the region: In 2021, 80 farms in the district of Ludwigsburg and the state capital Stuttgart, which are inspected in accordance with EU organic law, applied for funding as part of the funding program for agri-environment, climate protection and animal welfare (FAKT). Together, these farms cultivate 2500 hectares.
