Last week, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier inaugurated the soon-to-be-renovated parking garage at the district hall. Once the construction work is complete, the district administration office will provide green electricity for citizens' e-mobility with the help of an innovative parking and charging concept and a large PV system. In keeping with this commitment to the transport revolution, the Hocketse was accompanied by a mobility day with a wide range of offers.
"The new parking garage will complete our innovative energy concept at the district administration office when it is finished," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. The renovation of the parking deck goes hand in hand with the implementation of the "parking and charging" concept. Next year, a large photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof, which will not only supply climate-friendly electricity for the district hall and the district administration office's company vehicles, but also for citizens who can charge their electric cars here.
At the Mobility Day for employees of the district administration office, there were various workshops on safe and healthy cycling, free coding opportunities and a bike check for your own bike, as well as many information and activity stands. These action formats are part of the district administration's official mobility management concept, which is now being increasingly implemented as part of the plan to become a climate-neutral administration.
As part of the Mobility Day, District Administrator Allgaier also honored the most active cyclists in the district office. "The district of Ludwigsburg has been taking part in the city cycling competition since 2017, and I am delighted that more and more people are taking part every year. This year, the Ludwigsburg district office was the fourth-placed team in the district - which means we have moved up one place." In the entire district of Ludwigsburg, more than 10,000 participants have cycled over two million kilometers and thus made an important contribution to climate protection.
Info:
With the new charging concept using green electricity, the district wants to make a contribution to the drive transition. This is one pillar of the transport transition and thus climate protection. The second pillar is the mobility transition, which aims to reduce energy consumption, for example by encouraging more employees to switch to bicycles or public transport. In future, the district administration office would like to further increase the proportion of its employees who cycle to work. Important steps have been taken in this direction with the bicycle mileage allowance recommended by the Administrative Committee and the Mobility Day.
