Green visit to the district administrator

Parliamentary group leader Andreas Schwarz from the state parliament visited District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier with the three Green MPs from the district.

A group of six professionals in business attire stands in front of a building, smiling. They are positioned in a semi-circle, with greenery and a sign for "Landesamt Ludwigsburg" in the background. The scene conveys a sense of collaboration and community.

It was the first meeting with the District Administrator of the Ludwigsburg district for parliamentary group chairman Andreas Schwarz. Constituency representatives Silke Gericke, Dr. Markus Rösler and Tayfun Tok had already visited the district administration building.

The discussion focused on current topics that determine the work of both the district administration and the Greens in the state parliament: Modern mobility concepts, such as the light rail system in and around Ludwigsburg and its extension to Markgröningen and Schwieberdingen, were given a lot of attention. The Greens and the district want to work together to strengthen local public transport. Other topics in this area were the state-wide youth ticket, including the question of when it could be implemented, the possibilities of a mobility pass to strengthen local public transport and the rescue packages in local public transport due to the difficult situation for bus companies.

The second central topic was climate protection. Due to the relatively small number of locations in the district that are suitable for wind power, such as Schwieberdingen, the focus here was on the potential for renewable energies in the district with a focus on photovoltaics on roofs and along freeways and main roads.

District Administrator and First State Official Jürgen Vogt presented the members of parliament with the climate protection concept, with which the district of Ludwigsburg aims to become climate-neutral by 2050. Another current topic that the MPs were very interested in was housing subsidies in the district. A building cooperative of local authorities and the district is currently in the founding phase.

There was also a consensus between the district administrator and the Green MPs to approach further companies for the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic model region with the aim of increasing the proportion of organic food to at least the national target of 40 percent by 2030.
