Glass production at the weekend: 23rd Sheep's Wool Festival in Gronau

At the Sheep Wool Festival in Oberstenfeld-Gronau on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7, 2025, shepherds and processing companies will provide exciting insights into the world of sheep and wool. The wool campaign was launched in 1993 by sheep farmers in order to put the wool obtained during shearing to good use.

A farmer demonstrates sheep shearing at a rural event, while a crowd watches from a fenced area. Several sheep are visible in the background, showcasing the close interaction between the farmer and the animals during the demonstration.

Shepherds and processing companies provide exciting insights into their work on Saturday and Sunday (Theiss).

Saturday, 06.09.2025, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, festival until 10:00 pm
Sunday, 07.09.2025, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, church service at 10:10 am, festival until 8:00 pm

There will be demonstrations and information on sheep shearing and wool processing during the glass production. The shepherd's market offers a variety of sheep and wool products. Catering includes Bottwartäler lamb and wine.
