During the carnival vacations and in the following week, the road builders from the district administration office will be removing the 1.50-metre-wide old sidewalk along the K 1600 road and replacing it with a stable topsoil verge. The kerb at the edge of the road will also be largely removed so that the road can be drained over a wide area via the verge.
Construction work increases road safety and helps protect the climate
Traffic in the direction of Freiberg will be diverted from the junction with Parkäckerstraße via the K 1600 (Freiberger Straße) in the direction of Bietigheim as far as Poststraße. Traffic will continue via Poststraße to the L 1125 in the direction of Großingersheim and from there via the L 1113 (Ludwigsburger Straße) to Freiberg-Geisingen.
The K 1600 can still be used from Freiberg to Bietigheim during the construction work. Access to the Buch residential area via Parkäckerstraße is unrestricted for local traffic.
The construction work increases road safety and helps to protect the climate, as it provides an opportunity to unseal a large area without any disadvantages for pedestrian traffic. The district is providing around 100,000 euros for the work.
The district administration office asks all road users for their understanding for possible obstructions, especially in the detour area.
