First of all, this Friday the currently bypassed lane will be put back on the carriageway to Bietigheim. On the carriageway to the A 81, traffic will be guided past the construction site in two lanes along the central reservation. This will free up space to carry out the remaining work on the embankment along the new entry lane of the K 1671 and on the traffic islands at the junction with the K 1671.
Next Friday, July 7, the traffic routing will be changed so that there will only be one lane along the central reservation on the road to Bietigheim and one lane in the direction of Bietigheim will be on the opposite carriageway, as is currently the case. This will create space to construct the two outer lanes of the B 27 in concrete in the intersection area.
Through traffic on the B 27 heading for the A81 or Bietigheim freeway will remain on two lanes in both directions during these two construction phases. It will only be necessary to keep traffic in one lane in both directions on the nights when the traffic is being converted for health and safety reasons during the construction and dismantling of the concrete safety barriers. The conversion work is expected to be completed in the early hours of the morning.
The K 1671 between Fritz-Lieken-Straße and the junction with the B 27 at the Porschehochhaus will remain closed. However, local cycle traffic will be able to use the underpass under the K 1671 between the Porschehochhaus and the Fißlerhof again in the course of next week. The laying of the cable route in the footpath/cycle path at the Porschehochhaus has now been completed.
The district has allocated around 2.5 million euros from the district road construction program for the project. A further three million euros are planned for the construction work on the B 27, which the district is taking over for the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The district administration office asks all road users for their understanding for the disruption caused, especially in the detour area.
