Former district councillor and Freudental mayor Hartmut Singer celebrates his 80th birthday today (Wednesday, October 19)

FREUDENTAL. Former district councillor and Freudental mayor Hartmut Singer celebrates his 80th birthday on Wednesday (October 19). On his special day, he receives a letter of congratulations from District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

On behalf of the Ludwigsburg district administration office, the district council and personally, the head of the district administration sends his best wishes and, above all, good health for the new year. During his 32 years in office as mayor, he had "successfully steered the fortunes of Freudental. With great personal commitment, very conscientious, diligent and determined, you have turned Freudental into a modern, attractive municipality. Thanks to your friendly, reliable and understanding manner, you enjoyed a high reputation in the community and beyond and were a sound advisor. It was not without reason that you were made an honorary citizen of Freudental in 2003."

In the 15 years from 1984 to 1999 as a member of the district council and in particular on the social committee, Singer was also committed to the welfare of socially disadvantaged, disabled and elderly people. He has also always been a reliable partner and supporter of the PKC in the former synagogue in Freudental. As a pensioner advisor, Singer also maintained contact with former mayoral colleagues on behalf of the district for many years and visited them on their birthdays. "You also carried out this task conscientiously and in an exemplary manner with your pleasant and open manner," said the District Administrator as Chairman of the District Council.

In addition to his commitment to local politics, Hartmut Singer also held other honorary posts and functions. For example, he was Chairman of the VdK Freudental local group for 32 years, a lay judge at the Marbach district court and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Löchgauer Bank. His extensive and long-standing commitment was honored in 2000 with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. On his retirement in 1999, the district council honored Singer with the district's Medal of Merit.
