Successful induction week for new trainees and dual students at Ludwigsburg District Office

On September 1, 2025, the new trainees and dual students of the Ludwigsburg District Office started their induction week with curiosity, excitement and a lot of drive. The first week was not only an opportunity to get to know their future colleagues and the building better, but also to immerse themselves in everyday working life.

Four individuals are engaged in cooking in a bright kitchen. They are preparing various dishes, with pots on the stove and ingredients on the counter. The atmosphere is collaborative, as they work together with kitchen utensils and appliances. Large windows let in natural light.

At the nutrition center, the trainees and students focused on creativity in cooking and baking (Ludwigsburg District Office).

The event started on Monday morning with a welcome from the HR management, the youth and trainee representatives and the climate protection team. After some initial refreshments, a scavenger hunt through the district administration office was on the agenda, during which the junior staff explored the district building on their own.

A special highlight awaited them on Tuesday: an excursion to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament. The groups then gained their first insights into the digital world of work with practical IT training on Excel and Outlook.

Wednesday was all about creativity and enjoyment. While one group conjured up delicious dishes in the "Ist zum Kringeln" cooking course, the other discovered their creative side in the DIY workshop at the district media center - in the afternoon they swapped.

Fit for everyday working life

Nature took center stage on Thursday: in the forest conservation project, the participants experienced hands-on how environmental and climate protection are implemented in the district.

Finally, on Friday, the focus was on important soft skills: "Business etiquette" provided valuable tips for a professional appearance in everyday working life. The crowning finale was an exciting program item of a special kind: participation in a playful "bomb disposal" in small groups in the garden of the health department - an event that will certainly be remembered by all participants.

In addition, employees Stephanie Brand and Alina Krusemark provided information on the most important topics relating to working life in an interactive information event. "Our induction week is designed to make starting a career easier and fun at the same time - we have achieved this goal this year," emphasizes Stephanie Brand, Head of Training at the Ludwigsburg District Office. "We are delighted that our new trainees and students started with so much openness, commitment and curiosity."
