Inauguration of the new "Orthopaedic Rehabilitation" building and "25 years of ORTEMA" anniversary

ORTEMA had two happy occasions to celebrate on Monday afternoon (November 25): The new "Orthopaedic Rehabilitation" building was inaugurated, while the company also celebrated its 25th anniversary. "ORTEMA's range of services not only perfectly complements the Markgröningen location, but also all other locations in the district and beyond. The addition to the range of services offered by the Markgröningen Orthopaedic Clinic (OKM) provides Markgröningen with a state-of-the-art, supra-regional center for orthopaedic diseases that can offer prevention, acute medicine and rehabilitation at one location," said District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas, also Chairman of the Clinic Supervisory Board, in his welcoming address.

As a full-service provider, ORTEMA offers the entire treatment chain, from preventive orthoses that protect against injuries to physical therapy and rehabilitation. The company supplies athletes of all performance classes with and without disabilities, including numerous top athletes, with suitable products. "These products are appreciated and worn worldwide," said Haas. The special thing about ORTEMA is "the interdisciplinary work between the different areas, from which all customers and patients benefit," continued Haas. "ORTEMA is an important building block in the healthcare of the district and beyond." He wished the company "many more satisfied customers and patients for the next 25 years".

The new "Orthopaedic Rehabilitation" building was then inaugurated. "The new building is an excellent way of ensuring ORTEMA's future viability," emphasized Haas. The modular building has a number of special features, such as insulation levels that exceed the energy saving regulations, low-energy underfloor heating and a ventilation system with heat recovery. The District Administrator and Chairman of the Supervisory Board thanked everyone involved in the construction and concluded by saying: "May as many patients as possible experience effective orthopaedic rehabilitation here!"

The new building was constructed from a total of 26 modules, spread over two floors. It has a gross floor area of around 1510 square meters. Of the total construction time of 33 weeks, seven weeks were spent on the foundations of the building and 26 weeks on the actual building. The new building cost 4.2 million euros, including the foundations and development. The building itself cost 3.75 million euros. ORTEMA invested a further 500,000 euros in furnishing and equipping the new building. The general contractor for the construction project was the company Kleusberg from Wissen/Sieg (Rhineland-Palatinate) with a branch in Remseck am Neckar.
