When it comes to climate protection, the focus is often on the carbon footprint, which highlights the negative effects of personal actions. This concept is supplemented by the climate handprint: it focuses on climate-friendly behavior - however, this is not only about individual decisions, but above all about structural changes in one's own sphere of influence. If a person gets involved in a climate protection initiative, for example, they can have a positive impact on the emissions of many other people.
Providing information about climate protection commitment over drinks, snacks and music
One thing is clear: voluntary initiatives are important drivers for climate protection in the region. However, although people often want to volunteer, they are unsure where and how they can get involved. The event at Hi.Francky aims to close this gap: Here, citizens can talk to volunteers and find out what kind of commitment might suit them. The participating initiatives are committed, for example, to the expansion of renewable energies, sustainable consumption, resource conservation or sustainable mobility.
In addition to various discussion impulses and information tables, participants can look forward to a late summer atmosphere with drinks, snacks and music. No registration is required to take part.
Sustainability days should inspire people to get involved
The KLIMA.LÄND.TAGE, formerly Sustainability Days and Energy Turnaround Days, are among the many initiatives and projects of the Baden-Württemberg Sustainability Strategy. The event helps to inspire people in Baden-Württemberg to find an approach to climate protection, the energy transition and sustainability and to become active.
As part of the Sustainability Days, the city of Ludwigsburg is also providing a stage for the commitment of people and initiatives in 2024. The KLIMA.LÄND.TAGE and the Sustainability Days in Ludwigsburg will take place this year from September 18 to October 8.
