The aim of the climate mobility plan is to reduceCO2 emissions in the transport sector by at least 55% by 2030 compared to 2010. The technical development of the climate mobility plan is accompanied by an extensive participation process. 28 district municipalities are actively involved in drawing up the plan. The starting signal for public participation is a digital public kick-off event on December 12 at 6 p.m. , at which the project will be presented. Interested citizens can find out about the preparation process and the opportunities to make their own suggestions. The dial-in dates will be announced in good time on the website www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/klimamobilitaetsplan.
Dietmar Allgaier, District Administrator of the Ludwigsburg district, is delighted about the start of the model project: "The climate mobility plan is an important contribution to achieving the climate protection goals of the Ludwigsburg district. The aim is to develop measures with which we can significantly reduceCO2 emissions from traffic in our district. I therefore invite all citizens of the district to attend our kick-off event."
Following the kick-off event in December, there will be four local participation events in the participating municipalities next spring, at which citizens will be invited to discuss and participate in the development of the plan's objectives and measures. At the same time, the municipalities and key players in regional transport will accompany and support the development of the climate mobility plan. PTV Transport Consult GmbH and ifok GmbH are providing the district with technical support in the development of the climate mobility plan.
A second public information event is planned for fall 2023. This will deal with the interim results available at this time. The target scenario developed, the measures developed and the planned prioritization of the measures will be presented. The district will then carry out an online participation in which the above-mentioned developments can be commented on, evaluated and own ideas can be contributed.
In summer 2024, the climate mobility plan will be presented to the district committees for approval. Once the climate mobility plan has been successfully drawn up, the towns and municipalities in the district will be able to claim a "climate bonus" in the form of an increased funding rate when financing projects in the transport sector.
