"We are delighted that the fibre optic main distributors now show that the fibre optic expansion in Mundelsheim is making steady progress," says Harry-Clyde Beck, PoP implementation specialist at Deutsche Glasfaser. "The distributors are the heart of the fiber optic network and an important prerequisite for citizens to be able to benefit from a future-proof broadband supply soon," adds Beck.
At the fiber optic main distributor at Karl-Epple-Str. 7, Mayor Boris Seitz and Viktor Kostic, Managing Director of Zweckverband Kreisbreitband Ludwigsburg, were able to take a first look at and inside the fiber optic main distributor. "A day in the name of progress, because with the fiber optic main distribution frame, an important milestone has been set for the fiber optic expansion here in Mundelsheim," said Seitz.
Following the successful completion of demand bundling, the next step was the installation of the distributor, which will now be followed by the assignment of a construction company, which will then take over the detailed planning in coordination with the municipality. "With the main distributor, the project is now visible and we look forward to the excavators rolling in after the planning phase and the municipality receiving the most modern broadband infrastructure across the board, thus further advancing digitalization in the Ludwigsburg district," says Kostic.
During the construction phase, interested citizens in Mundelsheim can still conclude contracts at special conditions.
