This year's conference focused on reports from health planning and promotion as well as several key projects.
Among other things, the obesity working group presented projects that it has implemented in the two years of its existence. These include free exercise courses with cooperating clubs and free nutrition courses. In 2025, the project "Strong together - promoting physical activity for children with obesity in the Ludwigsburg district", which was developed in cooperation between the obesity working group and the Ludwigsburg sports district, was awarded the Württembergischer Landessportbund e.V. sponsorship prize.
In addition, the progress made in setting up a further education network in the Ludwigsburg district was presented. The network is intended to help secure medical care in the future and strengthen the attractiveness of the location for prospective doctors. To this end, the alliance enables structured and plannable training periods after licensure, for example.
The participants also discussed how the municipal health conference can be further developed. The aim is to further expand the public focus, strengthen participation opportunities for citizens and provide new impetus for municipal healthcare planning.
Initiatives for inclusive and barrier-free health
Other items on the agenda focused on socially relevant topics:
Plans to establish a medical center for adults with disabilities in the district of Ludwigsburg were presented, with the aim of improving care for this particularly vulnerable target group.
The project of a consultation hour for people without health insurance at the Ludwigsburg health authority, which is due to start later this year, addresses the existing need for care. The core of the project is to draw attention to existing gaps in care and to identify solutions to better support the people affected.
Exchange and outlook
Finally, the conference provided space for an open exchange in which the wishes and suggestions of the participants were taken up directly.
The Municipal Health Conference remains a central driving force for a needs-based, networked and future-oriented healthcare landscape in the district of Ludwigsburg.
