Corona: Current information on the Germany-wide stop for AstraZeneca vaccine - First vaccinations with AstraZeneca currently not possible - Affected persons with a corresponding appointment should not come to the KIZ - Biontech appointments will take place as planned

Following the nationwide stop for the AstraZeneca vaccine, the district administration office would like to point out that initial vaccinations with the vaccine are currently not possible: Initial vaccination appointments already booked with AstraZeneca at the Ludwigsburg District Vaccination Center (KIZ) may not be carried out at the moment. The district authority is therefore asking all those affected who have first vaccination appointments with the AstraZeneca vaccine not to come to the KIZ until further notice. The district authority will also notify all those affected if the contact details are available. Appointments for second vaccinations with AstraZeneca will take place on April 30 at the earliest, provided that the ban has been lifted by then.

Important: The vaccination appointments with Biontech vaccine are not affected and will be carried out as planned. The same applies to the activities of the mobile vaccination teams (MITs) in the nursing homes and the planned pop-up vaccination centers, as they only vaccinate with Biontech.

The District Office will publish further information as soon as it is available.
