Almost 200 liters of disinfectant, 270 packs of FFP2 masks (equivalent to 2,700 masks), 940 packs of face masks (equivalent to 47,000 masks), 350 protective and care gowns and 820 packs of gloves (equivalent to 82,000 gloves) were delivered.
The helpers drove to a total of 113 stations in the district with four vehicles. These included the clinic, outpatient care services, retirement and nursing homes, midwives, physiotherapy practices, social facilities (residential homes and welfare centers) and the district administration.
"We are delighted to have received the material and to be able to pass it on to where it is most urgently needed," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier as he loaded the vehicles on Thursday morning. As the quantity delivered will only last a few days, the district administration office is procuring additional protective equipment (masks, protective gowns, goggles) and disinfectant at its own expense. The latter is also being done with a view to the planned resumption of school operations at the vocational schools.
