Corona crisis: Ludwigsburg district publishes general decree with further protective measures - District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier: "We depend on the citizens to support us in the fight against COVID-19"

At 51.5 on Wednesday (14.10.20), the seven-day incidence for the district of Ludwigsburg exceeded the limit of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. For this reason, the district of Ludwigsburg published a general decree on the same day, which came into force on Thursday, 15.10.20, with further protective measures against COVID-19. "The situation is serious. With these measures, we hope to be able to contain the further spread of the virus. In doing so, we rely on citizens to support us in the fight against COVID-19 by complying with the measures. That is why we are appealing to people's common sense - in the interests of everyone," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

The main restrictions of the general ruling are:

1. limiting private events to 25 people in public or rented rooms and to 10 people in private areas, in each case without the possibility of exceptions.

2. obligation to wear a face mask in public spaces if it is not possible to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters, for example in busy shopping streets or within queues. Masks are mandatory at trade fairs and markets. In addition, an opening clause gives local authorities the option of regulating a more extensive mask requirement locally in certain densely populated areas where the minimum distance of 1.5 meters is regularly expected to be exceeded.

3. for secondary and vocational schools, it is strongly recommended that face masks must also be worn at the seat during lessons, with the exception of day-care centers and elementary school.

If the number of new infections continues to rise as sharply as in recent weeks, the measures may be supplemented and tightened, according to District Administrator Allgaier.
