Brochure presented at the CMT in Stuttgart: 20 favorite destinations for culture, nature and enjoyment

At the international travel trade fair CMT (Caravan, Motor, Tourism) in Stuttgart, the district of Ludwigsburg, together with the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS), presented the brochure "20 favorite destinations in the district of Ludwigsburg". This offers a selection of excursion destinations and activities that can be easily reached by public transport.

Four individuals stand in front of a rustic wooden backdrop, holding various publications. They smile and present the materials, which include books about local attractions. The setting suggests a cultural or promotional event, highlighting community engagement.

The district and the region are always worth a visit: First State Official Jürgen Vogt, VVS Managing Director Cornelia Christian and authors Dieter Buck and Torsten Schöll (from left) presented popular destinations at the CMT (VVS).

"The district of Ludwigsburg has a lot to offer - from great natural landscapes such as the steep slopes in Besigheim to impressive historical sites such as the Residential Palace in Ludwigsburg," said Jürgen Vogt, First State Official of the district of Ludwigsburg. "With the new brochure, we show how diverse and sustainable tourism in our region can be. And the best thing is: all destinations are easily accessible by bus and train."

Attractive leisure destinations for every taste

The brochure includes 20 highlights, which are divided into themes such as hiking, cycling, history and culture. They range from unique natural wonders such as the Hessigheim Rock Gardens and the Jubilee Cycle Path to cultural and historical treasures such as the Celtic Museum in Hochdorf.

Cornelia Christian, Managing Director of the VVS, emphasized the successful cooperation with the Ludwigsburg district: "The brochure is a further step towards promoting sustainable tourism in the region. Especially in times of climate change, we want to show how you can enjoy exciting excursions without a car."

Tourism development in the district of Ludwigsburg

The district has been focusing on the development and marketing of cycle paths for years. A particular highlight last year was the inauguration of the anniversary cycle path, which was created as part of the district's 50th anniversary and runs for 162 kilometers through 21 municipalities in the district. In 2025, the district would like to turn its attention to other tourism-related topics. For example, there are plans to make the existing hiking trails in the district accessible to the digital public. What else is planned for the district will be discussed with the district's tourism partners in March.
