After the event generated significant interest in 2025 with approximately 1,000 attendees, the colorectal cancer awareness campaign is now taking place once again at the Marstall Ludwigsburg.
Doctors from the Department of Health and the Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hematology-Oncology, Diabetology, and Infectious Diseases at RKH Ludwigsburg Hospital will guide interested visitors through the walk-through colon model. The exhibition illustrates various changes and diseases of the colon, including healthy colon mucosa, colon polyps, Crohn’s disease, and colon cancer.
In addition, staff from the Health Department, as well as representatives from the RKH Ludwigsburg Hospital, the North Württemberg Cancer Center, and the Ludwigsburg Outpatient Cancer Counseling Center, will be available to answer questions and provide counseling on all aspects of intestinal health, prevention, early detection, and treatment of colorectal cancer. Information about support services for patients and their families will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants can test their knowledge of the colon in a colon health quiz and enter a raffle. The drawings will take place at 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The grand prize for each drawing is a Center gift certificate worth 50 euros. Prizes will be awarded only to those present.
Free colorectal cancer screening tests
New this year is the distribution of immunological stool tests for colorectal cancer screening that can be used at home. While supplies last, interested individuals aged 45 to 49 can receive a test kit. The test detects hidden blood in the stool and can indicate changes in the colon. For individuals aged 50 and older, the stool test is covered by health insurance as part of the statutory early detection program and is available through primary care or specialist practices.
The event is taking place with the support of Marstall Ludwigsburg, ECE Marketplaces GmbH & Co. KG, AOK Ludwigsburg-Rems-Murr, and RKH-Klinikum Ludwigsburg.
