The reason for this is that there is currently insufficient staffing, which is mainly due to the retirement of experienced employees," explains Wolfgang Bechtle, Head of Environment, Technology and Construction. "Despite intensive efforts, we have not yet succeeded in restoring the necessary staffing levels. We are working at full speed to solve this problem and ensure that processing is speedy again. We ask for your understanding that there are currently delays."
Legal changes exacerbate the situation
In addition, legal changes at state and federal level have led to an increased need for advice. "Building applications often have to be amended several times by the drafters. This leads to further delays and an increased workload," continues Bechtle.
