Construction work at the Weinstrasse intersection between Schwieberdingen and Möglingen from November 10 to 13: Red light monitoring is being prepared

Preparatory construction work for a red light monitoring system at the Weinstrasse intersection between Schwieberdingen and Möglingen will take place between Friday, November 10, and Monday, November 13.

At this junction of state roads 1140 and 1141, accidents, some of them serious, occur time and again. This is caused by frequent red light violations. The municipality of Schwieberdingen and the district have therefore agreed on the construction of a red light monitoring system.

Local detour

Due to the high volume of traffic at the junction, work will be carried out at the weekend. On this occasion, the district will also be carrying out small-scale road repair work. A local detour will be in place for traffic coming from Münchingen, Markgröningen and Ludwigsburg via the B10 federal highway and the industrial estate near the Bosch company. Road users should also note the detour U 70 and U 71. The traffic from Schwieberdingen to Ludwigsburg will be kept to one lane. Most of the restrictions will be lifted again on Sunday, November 12. Only traffic from Ludwigsburg in the direction of Schwieberdingen will remain closed until Monday and will continue to be diverted.

Construction of the system not until spring

The construction of the red light monitoring system itself will not take place until next spring due to the impending winter weather.

The district administration office asks all road users for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
