AstraZeneca vaccinations now only for over-60s - Instructions from the state to follow - No cancellations of appointments: People with AstraZeneca appointments should come to the KIZ Ludwigsburg so that further action can be discussed
Based on the recommendation of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO), the federal and state governments decided yesterday evening to only vaccinate over-60s with AstraZeneca. The Ludwigsburg district vaccination centers (KIZ) are implementing this decision with immediate effect. However, AstraZeneca appointments will not be canceled. Instead, all vaccinated persons with a corresponding appointment will be asked to come to the KIZ for the appointment. The next steps will then be discussed with them.
Vaccination with a different vaccine is currently not possible because there is no other vaccine available. As soon as the country has issued instructions on how to proceed with the AstraZeneca appointments for the under-60s, KIZ staff will contact those who have not yet been vaccinated.
