Andreas Eschbach new head of the Central Management and Administration department

The district council has unanimously elected Andreas Eschbach as the new head of the Central Control and Administration department at the district office. From January 1, 2020, he will succeed Hubert Burkart, who is retiring and has held the position for more than 30 years.

The 56-year-old Eschbach has a degree in public administration (FH). He was head of the Oberstenfeld local authority from 1987 to 2009. From 2006 to 2009, he worked part-time as a lecturer for the in-service training course (dzU) and the introductory course for municipal law and municipal constitutional law at the Ludwigsburg District Office. He has been Head of the Main and Personnel Office of the City of Neckarsulm since 2009.

The tasks of the Central Management and Administration department include personnel responsibility for more than 2,000 employees, the management of internal administrative processes, the preparation of fundamental decisions, European affairs, the district's international relations and cooperation with the committees.
