On January 16, 2025: Experts provide information on heat pumps in existing buildings

A heat pump in an old building - is it possible and is it worth it? These questions are the focus of the free information event, which will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 18:00 to 20:30 at Prisma, Marktplatz 22, in Freiberg am Neckar. The speaker will be heat pump expert Dr. Marek Miara.

But how can they be operated as economically as possible and what is needed to ensure that they can also be used efficiently in old buildings? Interested parties will receive answers to these and many other questions at the information event on January 16.

The event will open at 18:00 with a welcome from Jan Hambach, Mayor of Freiberg am Neckar, as well as a video message from District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier and the Klimawerkstatt Freiberg am Neckar initiative.

Opportunities and challenges: Expert answers questions about heat pumps

The highlight of the evening is the presentation by Dr. Marek Miara from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg. He will shed light on the opportunities and challenges of using heat pumps in existing buildings and will be available to answer questions from the audience. In addition, Sarah Haase from LEA e.V. will provide information on the legal framework and funding opportunities for replacing heating systems.

The event will be rounded off with refreshments and information stands, for example from heating companies and Stadtwerke Freiberg a.N.. Admission is free, registration is not required.

The event is a cooperation between the Freiberg am Neckar Climate Workshop initiative, the city of Freiberg, the Ludwigsburg district energy agency LEA e.V. and the district of Ludwigsburg.
