Closing event with the companies of Transparent Production 2019

Closing event of Gläserne Produktion 2019: The managers of the participating companies from the Ludwigsburg district and the city of Stuttgart met on Tuesday (December 3) in the vinotheque of the Gerd Keller winery in Sachsenheim. Dr. Christian Sußner, Head of the Department of Environment, Technology and Construction of the Ludwigsburg District Office, presented the certificates and praised the great commitment of the 21 participating businesses. From May to November, more than 26,000 visitors took the opportunity to look behind the scenes of agricultural businesses and companies in the food trade from the district of Ludwigsburg and the city of Stuttgart.

A diverse group of people stands together outside a building, holding various food items and signs. One sign reads "Gläserne Produktion," indicating a connection to transparent production or local food. The gathering suggests a celebration or community event focused on local produce.

The "Transparent Production" initiative has been running in Baden-Württemberg for 29 years and draws consumers' attention to the wide variety of regional products, allows them to visit the production facilities and gives them the opportunity to talk to the producers in person. In addition to information about production, culinary delights and an entertaining program ensure that "Transparent Production" is a popular excursion destination for the whole family.

The "Gläserne Produktion" is coordinated in the district of Ludwigsburg and in the city of Stuttgart by the Agriculture Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office. Department head Sußner honored the participating businesses with a certificate from the Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection. "Especially in this day and age, it is important to facilitate dialog between consumers and producers and to give the public the chance to get an idea of modern agriculture and the food trade for themselves. These insights are enormously important in order to strengthen consumer confidence in local businesses," said Sußner. He thanked the participating companies and their many helpers for their great commitment and the successful events.
