Members of the district council visit the Ludwigsburg district vaccination centers

The Ludwigsburg CDU member of parliament and Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Steffen Bilger, and the two members of the state parliament from Bündnis90/Die Grünen, Tayfun Tok and Silke Gericke, were on information visits to the Ludwigsburg district vaccination centers this week. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, Andy Dorroch, organizational director, and Dr. Roland Kolepke, medical director of the district vaccination center, provided information on the progress of the vaccination campaign in the district of Ludwigsburg.

The three MPs praised the processes and organization of the district vaccination center and found out about the current vaccination capacities and vaccine deliveries. Last week, around 1,200 people were vaccinated daily at the Ludwigsburg district vaccination center - the capacity at full capacity would be around 2,000 vaccinations daily, but this is not possible due to the shortage of vaccines.

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier took the visits of the federal and state representatives as an opportunity to point out that vaccinations are not only given centrally in the vaccination centers, but that mobile teams have also been on the road in the district since the beginning. Now that the retirement homes have all been vaccinated, the mobile vaccination teams are out and about in the towns and municipalities for the so-called "pop-up vaccinations". Vaccinations by the mobile teams will also soon be completed in integration assistance facilities and facilities for the disabled. However, District Administrator Allgaier also criticized the "constant ups and downs of vaccine deliveries" at the district vaccination center. Allgaier called for more transparency from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs in the distribution of the vaccine. "A sufficient and, above all, reliable supply of vaccine must be ensured," said District Administrator Allgaier.

State Secretary Steffen Bilger took away the impressions, but also the criticism of those responsible at the Ludwigsburg district vaccination center. Following the problems with the vaccine allocation for the district vaccination center, he had already contacted Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn. The latter assured him that the vaccines would be distributed to the federal states as agreed between the federal and state governments from the outset. The delivery plans for the vaccine doses have not been changed by the federal government to the detriment of the federal states. For Baden-Württemberg, the upcoming deliveries will continue to average around 330,000 vaccine doses per week. For every 100 inhabitants in the whole of Baden-Württemberg, 60 vaccine doses have already been delivered. How much vaccine is delivered to which vaccination center in Baden-Württemberg and when will continue to be decided in Stuttgart, according to the State Secretary. In addition, there is still vaccine in Baden-Württemberg that has not yet been vaccinated, including from the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna deliveries. The remaining vaccine must now be distributed quickly and then vaccinated, said the member of parliament. Steffen Bilger promised to support the maintenance of the district vaccination centers. This was also welcomed by Andy Dorroch and Dr. Roland Kolepke, who emphasized that it is not logistically possible to vaccinate in surgeries in such a short time and with such a tight schedule. According to District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, cooperation between the Ludwigsburg district vaccination center and company doctors is also being considered as soon as volume deliveries are increased.
