From July 19: Vaccination buses on the road in the Ludwigsburg district

Two vaccination buses from the Ludwigsburg district vaccination centers (KIZ) will be visiting a total of 56 locations in the district of Ludwigsburg from July 19. The vaccination buses will be on the road in the district for two weeks. They will stop at central locations such as town hall, market and parking lots. "With this offer, we want to bring the vaccine to the people in the communities and make vaccination as convenient as possible," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, explaining the new offer.

A sleek black bus labeled "Impfbus" is driving on a rural road. The bus promotes mobile vaccination services, featuring phrases in German emphasizing community health initiatives. Surrounding greenery suggests a scenic environment, highlighting the bus's purpose of reaching people for vaccinations.

Each bus is staffed by two doctors, two medical assistants and two typists. Both Johnson & Johnson and BionTech vaccines are administered. The vaccinees can choose between the two vaccines. All those aged at least twelve years who are willing to be vaccinated will be contacted. At times, the vaccination buses are supported by employees of the public health department. They spontaneously approach passers-by about the vaccination offer.

The second appointment for a BionTech vaccination takes place at the KIZ. The vaccinated person can come to the KIZ after three to four weeks and receive their second vaccination there.

The tour dates for the vaccination buses are available online at www.kizlb.de. The tour dates are also posted at www.dranbleiben-bw.de. It is planned that the vaccination buses will also make stops at the district's vocational schools. The corresponding dates will also be published online.

"We must do everything we can to prevent a fourth wave or at least break its momentum. This can only be achieved with a high vaccination rate. Everyone can now make their contribution to this with little effort - for example, by getting vaccinated in one of the vaccination buses," says District Administrator Allgaier.
