From September 18: Construction work on the L 1110 between the end of Hohenhaslach and Ochsenbach

From Monday, September 18, drivers traveling on the L 1110 between the junction of the K 1641 to Spielberg and the end of Hohenhaslach can expect roadworks.

Initially, a farm track will be upgraded, which will later serve as a detour route

In the first week, the work will only take place at the roadside with the help of traffic lights. At the junction of the K 1641 from the L 1110 to Spielberg, a farm track alongside the road will be upgraded so that it can later be used as a detour route. Further along the L 1110 in the direction of Hohenhaslach, the existing grass pavers on the inside of the bend between the "am Kelterle" access road and the "Baiselsberg" hiking parking lot will also be removed and replaced with asphalt.

Full closure from September 25 between the junction to Spielberg and the entrance to Ochsenbach

From Monday, September 25, the L 1110 between the junction to Spielberg and the entrance to Ochsenbach will be fully closed to through traffic. The detour will be on the K 1641 via Spielberg to Ochsenbach. The plan here is to apply a further 16 centimetres of asphalt on top of the existing asphalt layers and thus reinforce the asphalt structure of the road as a whole. This will prevent rutting in future. The first 200 meters of the L 1110 from the Spielberg junction in the direction of Hohenhaslach will also be closed, as the road surface of the L 1110 is very poor, especially in the junction area, and the entire road body up to the treated surface of the subsoil must be repaired. In this area, however, traffic can continue to travel from Spielberg to Hohenhaslach and vice versa via the aforementioned roadside service road with the aid of traffic lights. The renovation work in the intersection area and up to Ochsenbach will last until the start of the fall vacations. During this period, the two bus stops at Bromberghof will also be converted to make them handicapped accessible. This will be done by narrowing the roadway over a length of around 50 meters in the area of the construction work.

Total construction time reduced by three weeks

A full road closure is necessary for the construction work between Ochsenbach and the junction of the K 1641 to Spielberg. The K 1641 is also affected by restrictions due to parking bans in the Spielberg district. The construction work between Ochsenbach and the junction of the K 1641 to Spielberg was originally planned for after the fall vacations, but can now be carried out earlier due to the deployment of additional personnel and equipment. This will reduce the overall construction time by three weeks.

The renovation of the asphalt surface course in the remaining section between the Spielberg junction and the access road to the Allmandklinge residential area in Hohenhaslach is scheduled for the fall vacations.

State provides around 0.8 million euros for renovation work

The district is implementing the measure on behalf of the state to ensure that this section of road, which is maintained by the district, is also restored to a good condition. The state is providing around 0.8 million euros for the renovation work.

The district administration asks all road users for their understanding for any possible obstructions, especially in the detour area.
