Starting July 10, Heat Warning Level 1 will be in effect again in the Ludwigsburg district

Daily temperatures of more than 32 degrees are forecast for the Ludwigsburg district from July 10 through July 15. This meets the criteria defined by the public health department for a district-wide heat alert. The steering committee established as part of the heat action plan is therefore once again declaring Heat Warning Level 1 for the Ludwigsburg district and activating the alert chain.

You should apply sunscreen before going outside.

The alert system notifies those in charge early on and reminds them of important protective measures, especially for people who are particularly at risk.

How to Stay Healthy in the Heat

The following tips will help you stay healthy during a heat wave:

  • Avoid the midday sun (11 a.m.–4 p.m.)
  • Apply sunscreen before going outside
  • Use the morning and evening hours for activities like shopping and exercise
  • Drink plenty of fluids (water, unsweetened tea)
  • Eat light meals whenever possible
  • Turn off unnecessary devices (avoid standby mode, which generates additional heat)
  • Wet towels, spray bottles, and cool showers or foot baths can help you cool down
  • Keep windows closed and darken the room during the day
  • Ventilate only at night or early in the morning
  • Store medications in a dry place and avoid direct sunlight
  • Seek out cool places: The Cool-Map shows where these can be found in the district
