55 pupils from the FSG's international classes visit the Kreishaus

LUDWIGSBURG / MARBACH AM NECKAR. Sandra Grüninger, head of the district council office and responsible for foreign partnerships, welcomed 55 students from the international classes of Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium Marbach (FSG) to the district council building on Tuesday morning (October 15). The young people come from Australia, Argentina, the USA, Italy, Poland, Kosovo, Montenegro, Nepal, Myanmar and Bulgaria and will be living with host families in the district for a total of one year.

A diverse group of approximately 50 students stands together in a spacious outdoor area, smiling and looking at the camera. They are dressed casually, with some holding flags. The scene is well-lit, showcasing the camaraderie among the group.

Sandra Grüninger said in her welcoming address: "Our district is internationally oriented, we have partnerships with regions in Italy, Hungary, Israel and China. This is precisely why we are proud that our schools in the district also attach great importance to international exchange. Student exchanges shape lives, contribute to mutual understanding and broaden horizons." She wished the pupils a great stay in the district of Ludwigsburg and an exciting year with lots of new experiences.

The international exchange classes were first offered in the 2003/2004 school year and are now a permanent fixture at FSG. The classes are in year 10 and around a third of them are attended by international students. The language of instruction is English. The aim is to give pupils the opportunity to deal directly with other cultures and thus promote intercultural competence in everyday life.
