According to Art. 7 Para. 1 of this regulation, each competent authority must make publicly available once a year an overall report on the public service obligations falling within its area of responsibility, the selected public service operators and the compensation and exclusive rights granted to these operators as compensation.
The districts of Ludwigsburg, Böblingen, Esslingen, Rems-Murr-Kreis and the city of Stuttgart are responsible for bus services and secondary lines in the Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart GmbH (VVS).
The Verband Region Stuttgart is responsible for publishing compensation payments in accordance with the general regulations of the Verband Region Stuttgart within the area of responsibility of the aforementioned public transport authorities. Via the homepage of the Verband Region Stuttgart can be used to call up an overview of these compensation payments.
Compensation payments from the districts to the transport companies, which are granted due to the existence of public service contracts, are settled via the VVS and published in a separate EU report.
We would also like to point out that the following bus companies provided transport services in the Ludwigsburg district in 2020
The report of the Zweckverband Strohgäubahn as a non-federally owned railroad (NE-Bahn) is published on its homepage.
