The starting point is behind the forest playground in Seewald. The free nature experience under the motto "Where's Wusel?" invites families, kindergarten groups and little explorers aged four and over to take an imaginative journey through the forest. The focus is on the story of Wusel, a clever little forest mouse who has suddenly disappeared. Eight lovingly designed hands-on stations lead along a two-kilometer circular trail through nature - always on Wusel's trail. If you pay close attention, you will discover clues and solve exciting puzzles, meet animal forest dwellers and learn about the forest habitat in a fun way.
"With the Wuselpfad, we want to give children and families the opportunity to experience the forest with all their senses - freely, playfully and together," says Florian Elsässer from the Forestry Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office. "Especially during the summer vacations, this is a nature-oriented leisure activity that combines exercise, adventure and environmental education in a unique way."
No registration required, free of charge and accessible to all
The trail is freely accessible daily from August 7 to the beginning of October 2025, participation is free of charge and registration is not required. A "treasure map" helps with orientation and can be picked up directly at the starting point or downloaded online from August 7: https://www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/de/umwelt-technik-klimaschutz/wald/wusel-2025-mobiler-walderlebnispfad/
Sturdy shoes and tick protection are recommended. The stations should please remain undamaged so that many little explorers can enjoy the experience.
