Winter Bike to Work Day at the district administration office: those who cycle to work receive thank-you cards and chocolate

"We would like to thank all those who are not deterred from cycling to work in the morning, even when the weather is unfriendly. This is not only climate-friendly, but also healthy and therefore makes us doubly happy as an employer," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. Anyone who cycled to work on Winter Bike to Work Day on February 15 received a thank-you card signed by District Administrator Allgaier and a piece of chocolate in the shape of a heart. More than 100 bikes at the district administration office and its branch offices were decorated with cards and chocolate hearts on Winter Bike to Work Day.

The image features a collection of bicycles parked in an indoor space. Prominently displayed are two promotional materials: one card announcing "Winter Bike to Work Day" and another with a pink heart-shaped sticker that reads "I love biking."

The District Office's Winter Bike to Work Day was very well received.

The district administration is constantly striving to expand the cycling facilities at the district office. In addition to the introduction of a bicycle kilometer charge, the capacity for bicycle parking on the grounds of the district administration office was expanded again at the beginning of the year. The cycling offer also includes several service pedelecs, a repair station, the "RegioRadStuttgart" bike rental station and regular free bike checks. "We are now quite well positioned in terms of official mobility management when it comes to cycling and we are also hearing from more and more colleagues who are switching to bikes," says cycling officer Madeleine Janker happily.
