District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier says: "Bicycle-friendliness has become a real location factor and a synonym for quality of life. That is why we have already done a lot for cycling in the district recently, for example the construction of the cycle path along the district road 1623 between Gemmrigheim and Besigheim. But we still have a lot planned, as our feasibility studies for the three high-speed cycle paths running through the district between Vaihingen an der Enz and Stuttgart, Bietigheim-Bissingen and Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg and Waiblingen show. The question now is: Are the improvements being well received by the citizens? What is already going well - what is not? We therefore ask all residents of the district to take a few minutes to complete the survey at www.fahrradklima-test.adfc.de. It's worth it!"
Is cycling in the district of Ludwigsburg fun or stressful?
The online survey asks 27 questions about cycling friendliness - for example, whether cycling is fun or stressful, whether cycle paths are kept clear of parking offenders and whether cycling feels safe overall. The individual towns and municipalities are assessed. 170,000 citizens took part in the survey in 2018 - 40 percent more than in 2016. They rated 683 cities and municipalities (2016: 539).
Rate by November 30
The survey will take place between September 1 and November 30, 2020 via the website www.fahrradklima-test.adfc.de The results will be presented in spring 2021. The most bicycle-friendly cities and municipalities will be honored according to six population size classes as well as those cities that have made the most progress since the last survey.
