The vehicle registration office at the District Office is being converted to the new "KM-Fahrzeug" software. Due to the extensive work associated with this, the Ludwigsburg vehicle registration office and its branch offices in Besigheim, Gerlingen and Vaihingen must remain closed on the following days: Thursday, July 20, from 12:00 noon, Friday, July 21, and Monday, July 24 (closed on this day for private registrations only). The Ludwigsburg driving license office will remain open during this period.
Due to the program changeover, the internet-based registration procedure (online deregistration, online re-registration, online re-registration and online new registration) cannot be offered in the week from 17 to 22 July.
From July 25, the registration authorities in the district will be open again by prior appointment. There may be longer processing times after the changeover.
