International Women's Day: For equality and women's rights since 1911
Since 1911, women have been celebrating "International Women's Day" on March 8 to draw attention to women's rights and gender equality worldwide. The day is intended to celebrate the achievements of women's rights movements to date, draw attention to existing discrimination and inequalities and encourage women to campaign for equality themselves.
