From the graduation ball to the green classroom

Graduates of the Bietigheim-Bissingen Vocational School Center have donated all the money left over from the graduation ball of the business and technical high school - around 1,400 euros - to the "Green Classroom" at the school on Gröninger Weg.

A group of six individuals, wearing masks, gathers around a large check displaying a donation from Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg. They appear to be celebrating a financial contribution related to a local initiative or organization, conveying a sense of community support and collaboration.

Monika Bauer (Chairwoman of the Friends of the Gröninger Weg School), Headmaster Heiko Brumme, Selina Felger, Head of the Schools Department at the Ludwigsburg District Office, graduate Berenike Klösch, teacher Nina Burfeind and graduate Helena Geiger.

The cheque was handed over on behalf of the school by former school leavers and current students Helena Geiger and Berenike Klösch. The money will be used to fence the school grounds. The Gröninger Weg school, a special education and counseling center with a focus on intellectual development, will launch the "Green Classroom" project in April 2022 on a plot of land near a farm in Ingersheim. The offer outside the school building is designed for all pupils from primary school to the end of vocational school. The site offers pupils the opportunity to be introduced to important key skills in harmony with nature through a variety of projects. Experience is gained through active activity, building up and developing stamina and concentration, among other things. Above all, the social interaction that the children and young people should experience in this place is paramount.
