Cloth bag from the district administration's steep slope campaign travels around the world

The three winning photos were recently honored at the award ceremony for the "Echt.Schön.Schräg - goes around the world" photo competition. The photo competition organized by the district administration's tourism team was launched last year as part of the European Football Championship and the five UEFA EURO matches in Stuttgart. The task: The green cloth bag of the steep slope campaign "Echt. Beautiful. Schräg" campaign was to be creatively staged and photographed at a personal favorite place - be it on vacation, on a short trip or right on the doorstep.

Four women stand in front of a display featuring three framed photographs. They are pointing at the images, which depict various outdoor scenes. The women appear engaged and are smiling, showcasing the art pieces in a communal or exhibition setting.

The proud winners present their personal photo motifs. From left to right: 2nd place, Elvira Gall, 1st place, Stephanie Krauß, Head of District Development, Climate Protection, Mobility, Tourism Stefanie Bartzsch and 3rd place, Melanie Prigl.

The winning motif shows the cloth bag in an atmospheric sunset on a Thai island, photographed in an idyllic bay with fishing boats. Second place impressed with an artistic staging: the cloth bag on a bicycle in front of a colorful signpost - almost like an art installation. Third place went to an entry from the Bahamas, in which the bag was photographed on the beach with an animal visitor. All participants impressively demonstrated how versatile the combination of home, tourism and creativity can be - whether thousands of kilometers away or in the middle of a vacation in Germany. The top three winners can look forward to unforgettable experiences, while all other participants received the campaign's cloth bag filled with anniversary wine and a printout of their own photo entry on a wooden frame as a thank you.

EURO 2024 as a stage for cycle tourism in the Ludwigsburg district

During the five UEFA EURO matches last year, the district administration's tourism team was present in front of the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg to provide information about cycling in the district and hand out giveaways and cycling maps. The aim was to draw the attention of visitors to the European Championships from Germany and abroad to the varied tourist cycle routes in the district and to the district of Ludwigsburg as a travel destination.

Current photo competition to take part in: On the hunt for the purple steep slope bus

Another photo competition organized by the district development, climate protection, mobility and tourism department is running until July 31, 2025: The photo campaign "Catch me if you can - grab the steep slope bus" is all about finding the purple steep slope bus with advertising for the app "Echt. Beautiful. Schräg" app in the Ludwigsburg district. All further information on the current photo competition can be found at: www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/de/landratsamt-landkreis/tourismus-freizeit/.
