The 56-year-old Eschbach has a degree in public administration (FH). He was head of the Oberstenfeld local authority from 1987 to 2009. From 2006 to 2009, he worked part-time as a lecturer for the in-service training course (dzU) and the introductory course for municipal law and municipal constitutional law at the Ludwigsburg District Office. Most recently, and since 2009, he has headed the Main and Personnel Office of the City of Neckarsulm.
The tasks of the Central Management and Administration Department (formerly: Main Office) include personnel responsibility for more than 2,000 employees, the management of internal administrative processes, the preparation of fundamental decisions, European affairs, the district's international relations and cooperation with the committees.
