More than learning happens in the Grüzi
District Administrator Allgaier praised the innovative idea behind the "Green Classroom" concept. This is unique in this form in the schools run by the district of Ludwigsburg. "The education and support of young people is an important building block in our society. And where, if not here, in the middle of nature, could these two building blocks be better combined," said the district administrator, adding: "Especially as it's not just about learning, but social interaction can also be experienced here outside the actual school building in a very special way." One of the special features of the "green classroom" is that pupils can take a break from the sensory overload and enjoy the silence. There is also plenty of space for exercise in the fresh air. "Flowers, branches, grasses - whatever the children and young people find here in nature that they can make and work with encourages their creativity." In the "green classroom", they can create something together, work with gardening tools, make firewood or garden. He thanked everyone involved for creating such a challenging learning environment.
Helga Schaaf Foundation supports lighthouse project
The "Green Classroom" was realized thanks to the generous support of the Helga Schaaf Foundation. Other donors and supporters participated, including Parker-Hannifin Manufacturing Germany GmbH & Co KG, the Lions Club Bietigheim-Bissingen, the theater group of the Bissingen Sports Association and last year's graduates of the Bietigheim-Bissingen Vocational School Center. There were also donations from private individuals. The educational offer is rounded off by a cooperation with the Krauter family's farm, which is located in the immediate vicinity. They have leased the land for the "Green Classroom" to the Ludwigsburg district. In addition, the children and young people at Gröninger Weg school can discover the farm as part of their lessons and actively work on it. The municipality of Ingersheim and the local council have also contributed to the realization of the special learning space in nature with their support.
Principal Brumme belatedly congratulated on his appointment due to Corona
District Administrator Allgaier took the official inauguration of the "green classroom" as an opportunity to congratulate Headmaster Heiko Brumme on his appointment. He has been in this position at Gröninger Weg School since August 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was not possible to hold an inauguration ceremony at the time. According to District Administrator Allgaier, Brumme is "an integral part of the school" and a "great asset to this school location". Together with the teaching team, he supports the pupils individually, with enthusiasm and patience and according to their personal abilities.
