The construction work is divided into three construction phases, each lasting around two weeks. In the first section, the asphalt surface of Bietigheimer Straße and Heilbronner Straße between Bietigheimer Straße and Im Gigis will be repaired, the Bietigheimer Straße bus stop will also be repaired and the crossing points and sidewalk adjustments will be rebuilt.
In the second construction phase, the asphalt in the area from Im Gigis to Pleidelsheimer Weg will be repaired and the crossing points and sidewalks will be modified.
Finally, in the third construction phase, the asphalt will be repaired, including adaptation of the crossing points and sidewalk adjustments from Pleidelsheimer Weg to the end of the town.
Detour set up for local and non-local traffic
The signposted supra-local detour route between Murr and Höpfigheim leads via the L1100 and K1611. During the first construction phase, access to Murr from the highway and the Bergkeltertunnel via Bietigheimer Straße will only be possible as far as the traffic circle. A detour via the L1100 will be signposted.
For access to the residential area between Tannenweg and Pleidelsheimer Weg, local detour will be signposted.
Bus route 567 is also affected by restrictions: The Bietigheimer Straße bus stop cannot be served during the first construction phase.
420,000 euros construction costs - municipality contributes
The costs for this construction project total around 420,000 euros, of which the municipality of Murr is contributing 35,000 euros for sidewalk modifications. The district authority asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the resulting restrictions.
