Renovation of the Hessigheim thoroughfare enters the final phase

The third construction phase of the road renovation in Hessigheim begins on July 6. The work is therefore right on schedule.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The second construction phase of the renovation of the Hessigheim thoroughfare will be completed as planned at the beginning of July and the third phase can begin. On Monday, July 6, the closure will be switched to the start of the third construction phase. This begins directly at the current section at the junction with Ottmarsheimer Straße and extends to the junction with Felsengartenkellerei. This last construction section will also be fully closed.

The Besigheimer Straße/Ottmarsheimer Straße junction and the Besigheimer Straße / Am Felsengarten / Steinbeisweg junction will be closed to traffic on one side with traffic lights, as in the previous sections.

The inter-urban detour between Besigheim and Mundelsheim / Pleidelsheim will remain in place. Road users from Besigheim via the K 1677 in the direction of Hessigheim can then drive in Hessigheim via the road "Am Felsengarten" and Traminerstraße between Felsengartenkellerei and Ottmarsheimer Straße. From the start of the third construction phase, bus traffic will also be diverted via this route within the town, so that the direct connection between Mundelsheim and Besigheim will once again be available via Hessigheim.

The closure for the last section is expected to last around four to six weeks.

The district administration office would like to thank all citizens of Hessigheim for the smooth and cooperative implementation of the first two construction phases, while at the same time asking all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions in the final section.
