As part of the project, the approximately 2.3-kilometre stretch, including the frost protection layer, was thoroughly renovated and the road width harmonized to 5.50 metres throughout. To improve road safety, stable concrete verges were also formed on the valley side and the route was optimized. The sharp bend was widened with a slightly larger radius. Rock protection was also installed here. Previously non-existent drainage facilities were also added. The vehicle restraint systems were also adapted to the current state of the art. In addition, a new 300-metre-long footpath was built for the town of Bietigheim on the outskirts of Untermberg.
The district has earmarked around 3.3 million euros for the construction project. The budget was adhered to according to the current status
