RKH Managing Director Professor Jörg Martin bids farewell to the district council

At today's meeting of the district council, Professor Jörg Martin, the long-standing Managing Director of the RKH Regionale Kliniken Holding hospital group, was bid farewell. In his speech, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier paid tribute to Martin's outstanding achievements and commitment during his time in office.

"Over the past eleven years as the head of RKH Regionale Kliniken Holding, you have fought to ensure that our hospitals can provide the best for our patients. And that despite this very, very difficult financial situation," said Allgaier, praising Martin's dedication and commitment to the hospital group. Allgaier described the versatile clinic director as a "forward thinker - initiator - networker - absolute expert, but also a family man".

Professor Martin, who initially joined RKH as Medical Director in 2013 and took on the role of sole Managing Director in 2015, has achieved numerous significant milestones for the hospital network during his career. Under his leadership, RKH was developed into a modern and regional healthcare provider that combines high quality and service orientation.

Official farewell ceremony to follow in September

As a token of his appreciation, the District Administrator presented Professor Martin with a gift basket containing Italian specialties and a wine from the steep slopes of Ludwigsburg. An official ceremony to bid farewell to Martin is planned for September at the OKM in Markgröningen. Martin will remain in his position as Managing Director until September 30. He has already been bid farewell in the district councils of Karlsruhe and Enzkreis.

At the beginning of the year, the Supervisory Board of RKH Regionale Kliniken Holding und Services GmbH decided to restructure the management of the clinics and form a dual leadership team. In future, Dr. Marc Nickel will lead RKH Gesundheit as Medical Managing Director together with Axel Hechenberger, who will take on the role of Commercial Managing Director. Nickel will take up his post as Medical Director on October 1, 2024, while Hechenberger will assume his position on August 1, 2024.
