The meeting took place at the invitation of Wüstenrot Bausparkasse AG on the W&W campus in Kornwestheim. The focus was on the upcoming projects in the five central fields of action of the future strategy: securing education and skilled workers, promoting networking and innovation, sharpening the external image of the business location, a business-friendly administration and infrastructure and land development.
Concrete lighthouse projects already being implemented
District economic promoter Oliver Reichert discussed lighthouse projects and measures with the advisory board members to support the future strategy adopted last year, the implementation of which has already begun. These include the preparation of a feasibility study for the establishment of an international school in the district, the stronger networking of start-up companies with medium-sized businesses and the establishment of new networks for companies. In concrete terms, the introduction of a district-wide craftsmen's parking permit to simplify administration for craft businesses is also on the agenda. Projects for the coming years were also discussed, including the development of a business award to highlight successful examples of the transformation of the regional economy.
"The lighthouse projects make the future strategy tangible. Joint implementation results in practical solutions that offer added value for the companies in the district," emphasized Michael Kaiser, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and head of the steering committee.
Regional cooperation and entrepreneurial transformation
The members also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the implementation of the lighthouse projects with the Stuttgart Region, which result from the new initiatives planned by Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH as part of its strategic realignment. The host of the meeting, Wüstenrot Bausparkasse AG, also gave the participants insights into the company's transformation, which relies heavily on digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence.
