District office closes for unannounced public access from November 22

Due to the sharp rise in the number of new coronavirus infections, the district office is taking additional precautionary measures. The aim is to contain the new infections and maintain business operations: From Monday, November 22, the district administration office will once again close to all unannounced public traffic until further notice. All customer contacts will then only be possible by prior appointment. This also applies to all branch offices of the district administration. In addition, from November 22, customers will also have to present a 3G certificate, which will be checked by the security service at the entrances.

"The current situation in this fourth corona wave is serious and worrying. This is demonstrated not least by the fact that the alert level has been reached in Baden-Württemberg. In this situation, we want to protect both our customers and our employees from the virus as much as possible. That is why we have decided to take these additional precautionary measures in our business operations," explains District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

During the pandemic, the District Administrator continued, the District Office has had good experience of only allowing customer contacts by prior appointment. This enabled customer traffic to be reduced to the minimum necessary in terms of infection control.

As part of the 3G rule now in force, customers must provide proof of either a full vaccination, recovery or a negative rapid antigen test up to 24 hours in the past when entering the district office buildings. The offer of free citizen testing has now been reintroduced. For appointments outside general opening hours, the district administration office staff will collect customers directly at the entrance and ask them to present the 3G certificate.

Additional precautionary measures will also apply to employees of the district administration office from November 22.
