The Transparent Production campaign with the motto "Sustainably good - food and plants from the region" starts its annual program in April: Interested parties can look forward to a total of 14 events. From farm festivals and open days to tastings and guided tours, there will be plenty of information and enjoyment on offer between April and September.
The program kicks off in April at the Kinzinger Berghof in Vaihingen/Enz-Enzweihingen, where a spring wine tasting will be offered. Another event in April is the guided tour "Flower tour and wild bee observation" with fruit grower Christian Hörnle in Weilimdorf.
Sunday, 06.04.2025, 13:00 - 18:00: Spring wine tasting
The Kinzinger family runs the "Kinzinger Berghof" with a focus on viticulture, agriculture, farm store with bakery, broom business and distillery. Since its reopening, the farm store has housed a wide range of products. At the spring wine tasting, new wines and distillates are presented in a cozy atmosphere, accompanied by snacks from the kitchen and bakery. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the art of distilling at first hand in the distillery from 1 to 5 pm. The work steps in the vineyard and cellar up to the finished bottle of wine are also shown. Admission to the tasting zone is 15 euros. Wine, mineral water and farmhouse bread will be refunded in April 2025 from a purchase value (wine, distillates) of 70 euros. No pre-registration is necessary.

Christian Hörnle is a passionate fruit grower, he runs his fruit farm and is chairman of the Weilimdorf fruit and garden association. During the blossom tour through the orchards, participants will receive exciting information about the fruit crops and the special features of the year 2025, about biodiversity and about bees and wild bees. The fruit grower will also demonstrate how grafting is carried out. Afterwards, there will be a get-together at the Waldheim. The meeting point is at the parking lot of the new cemetery in Köstlinstraße.
