Art exhibition to mark the anniversary - opening by District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier on June 23 in the foyer of the district building

From Thursday, June 23, works from the Gerlingen Free Art Academy will be on display in the "Art in the District House" series, celebrating its tenth anniversary. Iris Flexer's annual course will be exhibiting drawings, paintings and collages.

Abstract artwork featuring light and dark sections with overlapping shapes. Botanical elements, including leaves, are prominently displayed, creating a layered composition. The word "IGNAVIA" is featured in bold near the bottom. The color palette includes shades of red, blue, and muted tones.

The Gerlingen Academy of Fine Arts, which is recognized by the Stuttgart Regional Council, will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2022. The exhibition in Ludwigsburg's Kreishaus presents a cross-section of the works created during the annual course, including drawings, paintings in watercolor, oil and acrylic as well as collages and objects made from found objects. The exhibitors are: Verena Braunstein, Dagmar Buntins, Ursula Haarscheidt, Cornelia Herrmann, Beatrice Klawitter, Carola Knecht, Ingrid Lepsch, Petra Schad, Elke Sander, Marie Schulze-Glökler, Karl Striebel, Brigitta Thiele and Helga Wimmer. Course leader Iris Flexer will also be showing her own works.

An art tour will take place on Wednesday, July 6, as well as on Thursday, July 21, 2022, both at 3.00 pm.
