District invites municipalities to take part in a snail race - Erligheim, Löchgau and Schwieberdingen take part in a spontaneous discipline as part of the district's anniversary celebrations

The new discipline of the District Olympics is also being kept secret for the time being. As with the local authority cook-off in July, the delegations from the participating local authorities will not know what the competition is about until the very end. Only on Monday, October 9, will the district administrator announce what lies behind the ominous title "Snail Race" via a video message at 9 am. However, one task is already clear for the participating municipalities of Erligheim, Löchgau and Schwieberdingen: as many citizens as possible should be encouraged to take part, so the call with the task should reach as many people in the municipality as possible - because the more citizens, children, clubs and senior citizens take part, the higher the municipality's chances of success.

Residents are welcome to be invited to a joint "public viewing" of the task and the video can be shown as part of a small event. Alternatively, the video can also be shared via the municipality's website or social media channels. The municipalities then have a few days to complete the task.

It is important that the municipalities plan space (e.g. gym, town hall, citizens' hall) and time for this so that they can submit the best possible results to the Ludwigsburg District Office on Monday, October 16 at 10 am. The winning municipality will then be announced at 4 pm and the award ceremony will be broadcast live on the Internet.
