"We feel that our legal opinion has been confirmed," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. From the district's point of view, it is pleasing that the Ludwigsburg district's waste management bylaws for 2021 and 2022 have been upheld in court. The Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg has confirmed that the district of Ludwigsburg can gradually save up the costs for the environmentally friendly closure of the district landfills over several years and that it is not mandatory to only charge the fee payers with these costs when they are actually incurred. The complainants wanted the court to ensure that the costs for the environmentally sound aftercare of the district's landfills are not borne by the fee budget, but by the general tax budget. The dismissal of the lawsuit means that major fluctuations in fees and the associated injustices from the district's point of view can now be avoided. "We are pleased that this calculatory issue has now also been clarified for the coming fee years," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
